MASCOM day

It is a day when MASCOM will be open to the public. We displayed all our lab papers, got some collection of foreign and regional newspapers and also had a power point presentation of how to bring out a paper. It was a very hectic day for us. we were divided into different committees and each of them shared our works. We all started at 8 in the morning. KTO was dressed in a formal wear (a full-hand sleeved shirt). Cool... he looked so smart. At 9 people started coming in slowly. At 10 people started flocking MASCOM. We all had a tough time. Guys and girls from the reception committee welcomed the guests, took a photograph of them, got a quote and immediately passed a chit to the souvenir committee, who were doing the lay out of the page in indesign/photoshop. In 5 minutes, they brought out the A3 print out of the paper with the person's photograph in it. By the time the person leaves the place, he will be handed over the A3 copy with a photograph of his. (Most of them were so surprised). Just to show how one has to work fast in a newspaper industry. But, the worst part was the souvenir committee had to work right under the nose of KTO, who was bashing them for every single mistake. It was a real hard time for us all. We were so cautious when VIP's came to see the exhibits. At the end of the day, we were all tired, but felt happy and contended with our work.

Time to go!!

Its time to go from MASCOM now. Now leaving with some sweet memories in Kerala. Starting from the heavy MASCOM gate, which we find hard to lift everytime we enter our campus, nearby thambi chettan's shop where most of the time we get maggie for food, waiters of a restaurant thali, who gives us a pleasant smile whenever we go, nearby neighbour's kutti girl, erayilkadavu lake, above all our mascom canteen, KTO's bashings, we will miss everything. Now we have to work in a newspaper industry, the real world of newspaper. Bye Bye MASCOM..
